Wall-mounted handrail
Everything for a rail that attaches to the wall: the rail, the brackets, a quantity calculator, and the answers to common questions.
Draft guide – pending Muzata confirmation placeholderThis page shows where a wall-mount section would sit. Where Muzata has not published guidance, it says so rather than guessing.
1. Rail
HT10 BP4 black stainless – $129.99 per 6'6" piece.
2. Brackets
HB02 wall + HA34 end brackets – $45.99 per 2-pack each.
3. Calculator
Handrail Builder gives the full list for your run.
Spacing and layout
- Muzata's HT10 guide says to place posts 3–4 ft apart, ideally 3'3".
- Whether the same spacing applies to wall brackets, and whether each joint should sit on or near a bracket, is not stated pending Muzata.
- The Handrail Builder uses the two spacings from that tip (3'3" and 4 ft) and puts an HA34 end bracket at each end.
Fasteners by wall type
HB02 includes lag screws, drywall anchors and a drill bit, and Muzata lists drywall, wood, concrete and stone walls. Stucco and steel are not covered; see the fastener table.
Joining pieces
Runs over 6'6" need joints. Muzata's guide names HA01, which is not for sale today. See the note on joining rails.
Code
Building code: please verify locallyHandrail requirements (grip size and shape, height, strength, wall clearance) vary by jurisdiction and by where the rail is used. This website does not state that any product meets a building code. Before you buy, check with your local building department. More about code information
